The MicroVault XL is powered by one 9v battery (not included). It includes a backup key and is California DOJ Approved.
This XL model (MVB1000) is Biometric, using fingerprint recognition to access the safe contents, and can accept up to 20 fingerprint templates. The high-performance, self-learning algorithm quickly identifies enrolled fingerprints, and updates slight changes that occur over time to an enrolled fingerprint, as well as to help distinguish variations. Interior dimensions of 2.5" x 8.25" x 11.5" fit most tablets or e-readers and many different handgun models.
