FAQ's

Question: Can I have a firearm shipped to my home or office?

Answer: No, all firearms must be shipped to a verified FFL (Federal Firearm License) holder. The only exceptions are some black powder firearms, and then only to approved states.

Question: How do I arrange for a firearm to be shipped to a local FFL?

Answer: Contact a gun shop or FFL holder in your area. Inform the dealer that you are buying a firearm online from Northwest Armory and ask their permission to have it shipped there. Most dealers will accept firearms for transfer for a fee. Have them send us a copy of their signed FFL. This can be sent by mail, fax, or email. Please have them include your name and order number so we will know who it’s for.

Question: Why are firearms shipped within 5-10 days of completing my order?

Answer: Not all firearms ship directly from our shop; some are shipped from our fulfillment warehouse. These orders take a few days longer to process.

Question: Can I have ammunition shipped to my home or office?

Answer: Ammunition can be shipped to a home or business, as long as the purchaser is over 21 (for handgun ammunition) or 18 (for long gun ammunition). However, we cannot ship ammunition to some states (Alaska, California, Hawaii, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Washington DC, and AP/FPO addresses).

Question: Can I have high capacity magazines shipped to my home or office?

Answer: Some states do not allow high capacity magazines. We cannot ship high capacity magazines to California, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York or AP/FPO addresses.
